The Turda Salt Mine is among "10 of the Coolest Underground Places in the World", and also on the 22nd Place in the "Incredible Destinations of the World" by the "Business Insider" magazine in 2014. The salt mine is up to 120m deep and was converted, in 1992, into a show mine with a museum. In the middle of the salt lake, the salt remains which have been dumped here since 1880 have created an island on which circular amusement areas have been built.
Those struggling with allergy and asthma issues will be particularly interested in the mine’s wellness facilities - halotherapy, the ionized air, pressure, and moisture in the salt-lined caves to treat persistent respiratory problems.

After dinner, you can visit an outcasted gypsy community. Then make your way to Biertan (Biertan).
The Birthälm fortified church (Biertan) was built by Transylvanian Saxons at the end of the 15th century. The ecclesiastical castle and village form a complementary unit, which together with the hilly landscape, rich in vineyards, show an extremely harmonious overall picture.
For the Transylvanian Saxons, this church castle, which was also a bishopric for a long time, is an important place of remembrance. Since 1991, so-called Saxon meetings have been taking place in Biertan, hold by the Democratic Forum of Germans in Transylvania

Bram Stoker's literary figure “Dracula” is associated with Sighisoara, Vlad Țepeș (Vlad III. Drăculea, the impaler), son of Vlad II. Dracul (the dragon), may have been born there. Between 1431 and 1436 he is said to have lived in the city.
After lunch, drive towards Viscri, where Prince Charles bought his first holiday home in Romania.
